Your relationship is a major source of stress. Maybe you see your partner’s name flash up on your phone—before you open that text you have an anxious thought: “What did I do now?”. Little misunderstandings quickly lead into heated arguments and you both start blaming and bringing up past grievances.
You know you love each other but you are more invested than your past than your present. You keep hoping that things could go back to the way they used to be. Maybe you haven’t felt connected to your partner in years. Let’s not even get started about sex- or lack thereof.

Therapy can help you and your partner reconnect and realign.
For whatever reason you and your partner are stuck. I can help you both identify what communication cycles you both get caught up in and whats getting in the way of connection. For couples, I take time to learn and share how I observe your roles in the cycle. It is never one partner’s “fault”; in conflict, you both are equal players and you both equally have a part to play in changing the dynamic.
As we work together, I will guide you both on how to communicate effectively and honestly. In couples work, you will learn how to be vulnerable and respond to each other’s needs. The goal is not to eliminate conflict, but to learn how to lean in with gentleness and respect. You both will gain compassion and understanding for each other.
Rather than have a prescriptive list of “fixes”, I will encourage you both to have bold, authentic, conversations in a way that feels safe and compassionate.
It’s not easy to admit that you don’t feel fulfilled in your relationship- you are completely worthy of feeling deeply seen and loved. You don’t have to solve this problem on your own.

At first, I will try to get to know you and get a sense of your goals for therapy individually. After that, you both agree to attend sessions together. whether you would like to process the past, more recent events, or stick closer to your treatment goals is entirely up to you. I will observe and share how I see patterns as they come up in session.

Therapy can be as long or as short as you need. While I can’t assign a timeline for you, you should start to notice some changes. If you feel like you aren’t making the progress you would like please let me know so we can take a closer look and decide the best course of action.
